Disneyland Day #3

Our last day in Disneyland was the day they unveiled the Halloween decorations. It is also the day they reopened Space Mountain and The Haunted Mansion. It was fun to see all the things they change for the holiday, but it was a complete nightmare. I have been to Disneyland many times and I never remember it ever being so busy. Luckily we had done all the rides so we just spent the day doing the rides that had been closed, went home for naps, then came back for the parade, Fantasmic and the fireworks.

Finally got a chance to meet Mickey

We had the kids take naps so we could stay super late at the park. However, by the time the fireworks started (9:30) they were all asleep so we just went home.

Beach Day

We headed to Huntington Beach as a group. It was perfect weather and we had a fantastic day. We rented boogie boards, built sand castles and just played in the water. I loved it all! The only chance I had to take pictures is when I was sitting under the canopy with a sleeping baby. Zooming with an iphone does not make for great pictures.

Disneyland Day #2

Day #2 in Disneyland

Evan's favorite ride was Autopia. He thought he was really big stuff driving so we had to go back again the second day

California Adventure

We headed to CA Adventure the day after we arrived in California. They have added a lot of new things since we were there last. Much better.

Dance party with Phineas and Ferb

New Cars Land It looked awesome. I think the main ride was the only good one. The others were a bit lame.

It looked even cooler at night

On one of the lame rides, but Evan loved it
Luckily ran into Buzz Lightyear
And Mater
Allison was gracious enough to sit out with the babies and little kids on some of the rides. She is such a darling pregnant lady. Look how cute she is. I just caught this picture of her without her knowing I was taking it.

Disneyland Day #1

It was a lot of fun spending the week with my family. Surprisingly we didn't have any problems or contention. The kids had a blast hanging out with their cousins.

Since this post was on the shorter side I decided to include a couple pictures from the house we rented by Disneyland. It was beautiful and had all these murals around the house.

August part 2

My friend Jen Cox and I took our kids up the canyon to play in the water. When we left they were covered in mud, but had big smiles.

We went for a little hike to a waterfall with the kids. They did great walking the whole way by themselves. Carver loved his first trip in the hiking backpack.

Hanging out at a T-ball game with grandpa

I really really hope this little guy's eyes stay blue!
We went to Bear Lake for a few days and decided to try to cheesy quad-bikes. It was pretty fun.

J.P.'s family and Amy's family trying to catch up to us.

We took a hike on our way home from Bear Lake. Jon insisted that I take a picture of him by this fallen tree.

Shawn sat at the computer with me and designed this sign for his first day of school. He chose the color paper and cut out the edges. He was so happy with his little sign.

The class of 6th graders that lined the walkway to Kindergarten cheering for the new students
Shawn was really nervous the morning of kindergarten. I borrowed a book from a friend called "The Kissing Hand". It is about a raccoon who is nervous to go to school. The mom raccoon kisses the palm of his hand and closes his fingers around it. Then tells him to hold it to his face if he is scared at school and think "mommy loves you, mommy loves you". The book really calmed down Shawn. I included this picture because it shows his little hand tightly closed around the kiss I gave him. :)
When you are the oldest in your class and also in the 95% height range for your age, it makes you much taller than the other kids.

Shawn I went to Lagoon as a pre-kindergarten celebration. It was a lot of fun spending the day together just the two of us.
