Back in Utah

We made it to Utah safe and sound. Thanks everyone for your help packing and unpacking and everything else. It's nice to be so close to family and to the mountains (which I love), but we do miss our friends in Boise.
Jon is loving his new job. He likes the work they are doing and he thinks the people he works with are hilarious. He doesn't have to travel with this job. If he had stayed with his last job he would be currently out of town for probably the rest of the summer. He also get every other Friday off, which is so much fun for us.
I don't have much to report, but I was just excited that we finally got the internet working. It was greatly missed.
James and Natalie love their uncle Jon. Since we live so close we see them at least once a day.
These are our new neighbors. Literally they are right outside our door.

No reason for this picture, just thought my little boy was adorable

WE GOT A JOB!!

As most of you know, Jon got laid off in March. We have been looking for a job in Utah because we would love to move back closer to family. Jon interviewed a couple weeks ago for an internal audit position with Intermountain Health Care. He wanted this job more than any of the others he has looked into. They interviewed about 5 people for this position and then finally called Jon back yesterday and said that they wanted to offer him the position. We were so thrilled. It is back in Utah, exactly the type of job Jon wanted, and it is a higher salary. They want him to start ASAP. We will be moving down on May 9th and Jon will start May 11th. Now we just have to figure out where we are moving to. :) Thanks to everyone for your prayers, support and help in trying to find Jon a new job. We have felt so much love and support from you all.

We went down to Utah for a about a week while Jon interviewed for a couple jobs. We were able to spend a lot of time with family and do some fun things. These are pictures of when Shawn and I went with my friend Jen and her baby to Wheeler farm. I definitely remember it being bigger and more fun when I was little, but it was nice to get out and enjoy the sun.

The Saturday before Easter we took Shawn to an Easter egg hunt. That afternoon we went with Dad, Robyn, and Tiff to This is the Place Heritage Park where they had the Easter bunny and some other fun activities.

Easter

We were at my dad's on Easter Sunday. He hid baskets for us, which was so nice. That afternoon we went to my grandpa's house for dinner and an Easter egg hunt.

Amy's visit

Amy and her family came up last weekend and we had so much fun with them. There isn't tons to do in Boise in the winter, but we enjoyed spending time together. The kids had fun playing together (until Sunday morning when Shawn started trying to scratch out James' eyes). It was a short, nice visit and npw we don't know how to entertain ourselves without them here. Thanks for coming to visit!

Shawn had a stinky diaper on the way home from the restaurant

We stoppped at the park on the way home from dinner. I think Antoine had more fun than the kids :)

Antoine brought his projector and we watched movies on our big wall

We went to Boondocks Saturday morning

Shawn loved sitting in this car with Spiderman, but hated it when it started to move.

This is the best picture we could get of the two boys Sunday morning

Is this a bad sign of things to come?

Since I haven't posted anything for a couple weeks I decided to just post a picture or two for those that check the blog often.
Shawn likes to stand on the bike seat and then let go of the handlebars. I couldn't get a picture of the daring act, this is the closest I got. Is this a sign of his character/personality? He might be quit the dare devil.

This is a picture I took while unpacking from my sisters' weekend. I just think Shawn looks super cute in it.
P.S. Feel free to send us any referrals or leads to jobs that you know of considering Jon got laid off last week. :)
