Day in Los Angeles

Jon had a conference in LA on Thursday, which is the reason we ended up in CA to begin with. While he was at that the kids and I headed to the LA temple since I have never been there and that is the temple my parents got married in. They have a new visitors center with some fun things for the kids to do. Then we walked around the temple and just hung out for a bit.

My parents have a picture of them sitting in this tree 37 years ago. The tree was a lot smaller. :)

When we were in St. George a few months ago we went to that visitors center so Shawn remembered that Jesus talks. Right when we walked in he asked the missionary to make Jesus talk. Then he went up close to see the "owies" in his hands and feet. Shawn is really starting to ask a lot of questions about church stuff and Jesus. Some deep and some like, "How tall is Jesus?" or "Does Jesus live in our tummies?"
The temple grounds were beautiful and the temple is way bigger then the church pictures make it look.

After the temple we headed to the CA Science Center per recommendation from my sister who just got back from a CA trip a couple months ago. The place was awesome! There was TONS to do and the place was HUGE. The best part was that it was free. It was way way better than anything we have in UT and they charge like $8 a kid for the one in SLC. We were there for about 3 1/2 hours and we didn't even see everything.

They had a framed house that the kids could finish building

The aquarium part

One of the several play areas for the really little kids

This was a little garden box with rubber chips that looked like dirt. Then there were baskets of vegetables that the kids could plant.

For what it's worth, I was looking at these pictures and thinking that you look great. So, don't worry about the swimsuit pic.
Also, your hair always looks so good.
I liked the pictures of the LA Temple. My parents were married there too.
